Flora & Fauna Exhibition, Jakarta

August 22nd, 2008 by Hera · No Comments

Last weekend, we went to Flora Fauna (Plant & Animal) Exhibition in Lapangan Banteng, Jakarta. We went twice since Dhava enjoys it so much, especially the animal. They exhibit some animals such as Phyton, Tiger, Sympanze, Owl, etc. Dhava took pictures with the phyton. At first we thought that he’ll be afraid with it, but we were wrong. He touched it and wanted to take pictures with it. The second day we went to that place again, he asked for the snake. So he took another pictures with another phyton, bigger one. He also enjoys playing with rabbits.

There, they sell rabbits, bats, monkeys, fish, dogs, etc.
Besides the animals, they sell lots of plants. Almost any kind of plants. We bought cactus, since it’s quite easy to take care and cute too (they sell many kind of cactus with different color and shape)

Overall, it’s quite an interesting place to go but beware with the hot weather. So..so hot…

Holiday in Bali

November 1st, 2007 by Hera · No Comments

We just went to Bali last holiday. It’s Dhava’s first time using airplane. I guess he’s pretty excited since he didn’t want to sit for a long time and want to explore the plane.

We stayed at Westin Nusa Dua Hotel. They have a great kids club (indoor and outdoor), lots of things to do there, including small cage for rabbits and turtles. The beach is quite OK.. no big wave but perfect for small child. Lots of squirrels along the walking area that connected Westin with other hotels like Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Melia. Westin also have kid’s pool with warm water and shallow pool, it’s very convenient for Dhava. Dhava loves to play with the sand… at first, he was afraid with the waves, but getting used to it.

the 3 of us in Bali's beach

We also went to Taman Safari. They just opened for almost a week. They have a good concept but still need lots of work with the operational. We can’t use our own car like in Taman Safari Bogor, so there were long queue to get in to their bus. The animals are OK.. there’re still more animals coming soon…

On the last day we were in Bali, we had dinner at Arena in Sanur area, near McDonald. They serve international dishes, lots of choices, and best from each country. The food was great.

Too bad that we only spent 4 nights in Bali.. we had a great time in Bali… looking forward to have another holiday in Bali in near future.

What can Dhava do right now?

February 6th, 2007 by Hera · No Comments

Everybody ask me what can Dhava do right now (in his nine months old)? Here’s the detail…

He started to crawl since he’s five months old. Dhava began to swim three months ago. He loves to swim at least that’s what we feel:) And then he can sit straight not long after that.

Dhava's swimming

He started standing almost 2 months ago but still with holding on to something.

He can clap his hands, response to ‘High Five’ and ‘Low Five,’ follow to the music by shaking his body. He likes to push his toys while he’s learning to walk. He can say “papa” a month ago… I think he needs more time to say “mama.” He’s already have five teeth.

He has started eating solid food three months ago. So far he likes everything he eat and he still drink breast milk. Thanks to the support of my hubbie, Saint Mary and God. I’ll try my best to give him breast milk until he’s one year old. As of for now, he’s 8.4 kilos and 68 cm height.
I guess that’s all for now…

Welcome to Dhava’s Blog

February 4th, 2007 by Aldian · No Comments

Dhavanatha PrakosoWe named our baby boy Dhavanatha, which means a man who provides shelter. It’s from Sanskrit.

We spent hours and dollars researching dictionaries and many websites, and buying baby name books just to find unique baby boys name. Finally we found one that we really love: Dhavanatha. We know how hard it is to find unusual baby boy names.

We thought this website would be a great way to share all of Dhava’s many milestones with you so you can be a part of his life and share in our joy. On this site you will find pictures, a guestbook for you to leave your thoughts and comments, as well as his progress. We will do our best to add photos on a regular basis so you won’t have to wait a lifetime to see his newest expression. Take a look around and enjoy yourself!

Thanks for stopping by,

Aldian & Hera
